Hello, and welcome. Grandma's House Ideas is a collection of the toys, gifts, activities and little routines that make a grandparent's home a happy place for grandkids to visit.

I save ideas I'd actually use: toys that hold up, activities that don't need a craft store run, rooms that feel like theirs, and holiday traditions the kids will remember.

A warm welcome for every kind of grandkid

Many of us are grandparents of autistic kids, kids with autism, or kids with ADHD. Families differ in the words they prefer, so you'll see both here. I share sensory friendly ideas, calm down corners, fidget toys and gifts that families like. I describe what each product is and why families enjoy it. I don't claim any product treats, calms or improves autism or ADHD, and I don't recommend weighted sleep products for young children. The grandkids' parents know them best, so please follow their lead.
